Nymphalis antiopa

Frog in the garden

As I walked by the garden pool today, I heard a distinctive "plop."

I turned and , sure enough, there was a frog.

How does it avoid being eaten by the raccoons?

Horseradish

Thanks to Nancy for calling my attention to this one.

Armoracia rusticana

I did not know that Illinois produces 60% of the world's horseradish.

Viola & snapdragon

I bought one flat each of mixed viola and mixed snapdragon from Ron & Sue at Luxemburg.

Now if I can just get a few extra minutes to put them in the ground.
