Sneezeweed
Sneezeweed AKA Helen's Flower
I prefer this color but there is no question that the plain yellow is much more robust.
Pansy
Pansy looking remarkably good after the heat of summer.
I find it supremely ironic that somehow the word "pansy" got transmogrified into a word that means a person who is not tough, because the plant is tough as nails and will survive conditions that leave a lot of other plants on the compost heap.

This might be a good choice for up on the hill at The Lodge.

Looks interesting, but rich, loamy soil is in short supply around here.
