Coyote in the garden

There was a coyote in the garden this morning.

It was eating off a stump where I put bird seed.

There was a coyote in the garden today at 4pm.

Traversed north to south along the west side of the house, then headed west along the back fence line.

Neighbors have reported seeing coyotes, but this is the first one I have seen in years.

Deer track

There was a lone deer track across the yard a couple of days ago, first one in a long time.

Hawks Bites the Big One

Received an email from Hawks Nursery that they are selling out to Steins.

Very sad day for the gardening community.

Hawks was a destination, a unique place.

Meijer Gardens

First Chipmunk Sighting of 2013

Today, we saw a chipmunk by the front step.

Seems awful early.
